Project: Looking through the viewfinder 2

Exercise 7

Object in different positions in the frame

Equipment:

Camera: Nikon D300s

Lens 18/135mm

Subject: Museum Gardens York, 3 pictures taken of york abbey ruins

First shot center of the frame
Exp time = 1/250
F/Stop = F3.5
Focal length = 18mm
ISO = 800

Second shot center offset left
Exp time = 1/800
F/Stop = F3.8
Focal length = 26mm
ISO = 800

Third shot center offset right wider angle
Exp time = 1/640
F/Stop = F3.8
Focal length = 18mm
ISO = 800

The picture that best works for me in this sequence is picture no 2. The first picture in the sequence i believe is the least successful.

I think the subject & the background work well in this sequence as there are other references to the ruins in the same shot, so the main part of the subject is not in isolation with its surroundings.
