Project: Photographing Movement 2

Exercise 5

Panning with different shutter speeds

Equipment:

Camera: Nikon D300s

Lens 18/135mm

Tripod

Series of 4 photographs taken on the same stretch of road as the previous exercise. Shots were taken at an exposure of 1/160 on an F/stop of 5.3 with a focal length of 75mm.
While the object remained in focus the background was blurred as expected.

From the results of both movement exercises the shots that I found to give the best results were shot no 2 from exercise 4, this shot froze the subject with the most level of detail

The best shot from the panning exercise was picture no2. This picture seemed to convey the greatest sense of movement while retaining the subject in focus.
